New Statutory Minimum Wage as of July 2025

27 - 05 - 2025

The next date on which the minimum wage will be indexed is 1 July 2025. The statutory minimum hourly wage will be €14.40 as of 1 July 2025.

The Regulation Indexation of Statutory Minimum Hourly Wage 2025 provides for this indexation of the statutory minimum hourly wage. This regulation will soon be published in the Government Gazette.

The starting point of the Minimum Wage and Minimum Holiday Allowance Act (WML) is that general prosperity development should, if possible, also be reflected in the incomes of employees on a minimum wage and of benefit recipients.

After the (legal) finalisation, the gross statutory minimum hourly wage will be set at €14.40 per hour as of 1 July 2025 (statutory minimum hourly wage as of 1 January 2025: €14.06).

In total, the gross minimum hourly wage for persons aged 21 and over (after rounding) will increase by 2.42 percent as a result of the indexation as of July 1, 2025 compared to the hourly rate that applied on January 1, 2025.
