🕓 Fulltime – 40 hours per week
Are you not afraid of heights and can you see yourself working meters above the water? Then this is your chance! As a harbour crane operator, you ensure that containers and breakbulk cargo are loaded and unloaded smoothly and safely. You operate the mobile Gottwald harbour cranes with an impressive capacity of 100 tonnes. You work on the quay, between impressive ships and a team that knows how to tackle things.
What are you going to do?
- Loading and unloading of vessels according to the loading plan – accurately, safely and without damage.
- You process data in the system and check whether everything matches the booking information.
- You coordinate activities with colleagues on the quay and in the team.
- You provide instructions to forklift drivers for smooth logistics handling.
- You are responsible for the transfer of work to the next team.
- You check daily whether your crane is in top technical condition.
- You keep your cabin and work environment clean and tidy.
- You report irregularities, damage or risks in a timely manner.
- And of course you work according to all safety and company regulations.
What are you bringing?
- You are flexible in working hours and tasks.
- You have an MBO working and thinking level.
- Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct is no problem for you (part of the procedure).
- You speak Dutch, or you speak English and understand Dutch.
