Vacancy: Port Operations Officer
📍 Noord-Holland | 🕒 32–40 hours per week | 🚗 Own transportation required
Are you a go-getter and would you like to work in a dynamic environment where no day is the same? Then this is your chance! For a modern terminal in the port of Amsterdam we are looking for several port operations staff.
What are you going to do?
As a port operations employee, you ensure that ships, trucks and trains are loaded and unloaded quickly and safely. You work with large equipment and support various logistical processes at the terminal. There is a lot of room to grow, for example towards a position as a forklift or crane operator.
Your tasks:
- Loading and unloading of containers, RORO and breakbulk vessels
- Moving goods on site
- Assisting with projects at the terminal
- Working in accordance with safety regulations (VGMH)
- Identifying and reporting damage or risks
- Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
What do we ask of you?
- You have your own transportation to the terminal in Amsterdam
- You speak and understand English (mandatory if you come from abroad)
- You work accurately and safely
- You are willing to work day, evening or weekend shifts
- You have a forklift certificate and already have some relevant experience in this field
- Driving license B
