From 2026: Equal working conditions for temporary workers

02 - 06 - 2025

From 1 January 2026, temporary workers will receive exactly the same employment conditions as permanent employees at their clients. This is stated in an agreement in principle that employers' organisations ABU and NBBU have concluded with the trade union LBV. Think of equal pay, travel expenses, pension and training.

The agreement anticipates expected legislation that will make equal treatment mandatory. By recording the agreements now, employment agencies and clients can prepare themselves well for what is to come.

Please note: the agreement still needs to be approved by the members of the parties involved, but if this happens, the new collective labor agreement will apply from 2026 to 2028.

An important step towards more clarity and equality in the sector.
