For a client in the Municipality of Dijk en Waard, we are looking for Preparation Operators / Production Cooks. You will work in the preparation department, where you will be responsible for preparing dishes such as ragout and bami. These products form an important part of the further production process.

👨🍳 What are you going to do?
As a Preparation Operator / Production Cook, you ensure that the prepared products are produced correctly. You monitor the process, keep an eye on quality, and intervene when necessary.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Setting up, starting up, adjusting, and converting industrial cooking kettles.
- Preparing ragout and noodles according to recipe and production specifications.
- Checking raw materials and ingredients.
- Monitoring quality and the production process.
- Resolving minor malfunctions and reporting major technical problems.
- Registering production data in the system.
- Instructing and supervising operators, production employees, and temporary workers.
- Identifying and reporting deviations in the areas of quality, safety, and food safety.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workplace.
- Work in accordance with applicable quality, hygiene, safety, and occupational health and safety regulations.
In short: you are an important link between the preparation and the further production process.
🕐 Working hours
You work in a 2-shift system:
🌅 Morning shift: 05:00 – 14:00
🌆 Afternoon/Evening shift: 14:00 – 23:00

You are someone who likes to roll up their sleeves, works accurately, and takes responsibility.
Preferably, you have:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a production environment, as a cook or machine operator.
- Experience with food production, industrial cooking, a professional kitchen, or meal production.
- A proactive and independent work attitude.
- A strong sense of responsibility.
- Attention to quality, hygiene, and safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in internal education and training.
- A good command of the English language.
